Bike Frames, Seats and Pedal Components
Stationary bikes can use upright, recumbent or indoor-cycling frames, and each type places the seat, pedals and resistance unit differently. We identify the model before assembly so the stabilizer bars, seat post, handlebars and pedal threads are installed in the correct orientation.
Pedals are side-specific on many machines, and forcing the wrong thread can damage the crank. Adjustment knobs and seat rails should move through their intended range after the frame is tightened. This service assembles the supplied equipment; professional bike fitting, internal resistance repair and replacement of worn drive components are outside standard assembly.
Rower Rails, Seats and Footrests
Rowing machines rely on a long rail or frame that needs to be straight and fully supported. Seat rollers, footrests, handles and resistance housings are installed in the manufacturer’s sequence so the carriage can travel smoothly. Folding rowers may include hinges or locks that need enough room to operate in both the workout and storage positions.
Because the finished machine can be long, the final room should be measured before assembly. If the equipment must pass through a tight stairway after it is built, assembling it in another room first may create a problem that could have been avoided with better placement planning.
Resistance Units and Included Consoles
Magnetic, air, water and mechanical resistance systems are not interchangeable, and we do not open or modify the internal resistance unit during routine assembly. External covers, tanks, flywheel housings and manufacturer-supplied cables are connected only as directed.
Consoles and sensors are mounted and plugged into their supplied harnesses where applicable. If an electronic display, resistance control or internal mechanism is defective after correct assembly, that becomes a repair issue. We also do not add electrical circuits or change wall power to accommodate equipment that has different power requirements.
Final Position and Movement Check
The completed machine is checked in the actual workout area for rocking, interference and usable clearance. A bike should sit firmly and allow the seat and handlebars to adjust normally. A rower needs enough length for the seat to travel through its full stroke without striking a wall or other equipment.
We operate the basic mechanical motion and confirm accessible locks or adjustment points. This is not a performance calibration or safety certification. Ellipticals, treadmills, multi-station gyms and other specialized machines keep their own pages so the final checks can match the equipment type.
