Plan Access Before the Chair Is Built
Massage chairs can be among the heaviest furniture items assembled inside a home. Some arrive with side panels, arm sections, foot units or back components separated for delivery, then become much wider once assembled. Before work begins, confirm that the boxed parts can reach the final room and that the completed chair will have enough clearance to recline or extend.
Doorways, stair turns and narrow halls should be considered before the pieces are joined. This service covers on-site assembly of a customer-supplied chair. Freight delivery, carrying an existing completed chair between floors or removing an old massage chair are separate needs that should be discussed in advance.
Base, Side Panels and Chair Sections
The chair base usually contains most of the mechanical system, so attached panels and seating sections need to be fitted without forcing connectors or trim pieces. Side panels, armrests and foot units are installed in the manufacturer’s order so brackets and hidden fasteners remain accessible. Decorative covers are added only after the structural connections are secure.
Because some chairs use model-specific wiring harnesses between sections, each connector should be matched to the instructions instead of being pushed into a similar-looking socket. Damaged brackets or misaligned factory parts should be documented rather than modified on site to make them fit.
Included Controls and Plug-In Components
Remote controls, footrest motors, speakers, air hoses and other features may use plug-in harnesses that are connected during normal assembly. We route those connections as the product directs and keep wires away from moving parts where the manufacturer provides clips or channels.
This does not extend to circuit-board repair, motor replacement or troubleshooting a chair that shows an electronic error after correct setup. Permanent electrical work is also outside ordinary furniture assembly. If the model requires a particular outlet or power condition, that should already be available in the final room before the chair is commissioned.
Final Placement for a Heavy Finished Chair
Once the chair is assembled, the goal is to leave it in a position where its normal movement is not blocked. Reclining backs, extending footrests and side panels can need more clearance than the chair’s upright footprint suggests. We confirm that the product sits evenly and that the manufacturer’s normal controls respond at a basic level after the supplied connections are made.
The service does not include therapeutic setup, user programming or repair of electronic massage systems. If the chair must be relocated later, moving and partial disassembly should be scoped as a separate job because the completed unit can be difficult to handle safely through tight spaces.
