Heavy Cabinet and Final-Room Access
A pinball machine cabinet is heavy, long and awkward even before the legs are attached. The final room should be chosen before setup because a completed machine is much more difficult to maneuver through stairs and tight doorways. We confirm that the cabinet, backbox, legs, glass and hardware are present and inspect the exterior for obvious shipping damage.
The machine is assembled from the manufacturer’s packaged condition in the prepared room. Freight delivery, carrying an existing assembled machine between floors or moving it from another property is a separate service and should be arranged before the cabinet is positioned for setup.
Legs, Backbox and Glass Components
The cabinet is supported while each leg is attached so the mounting points are not overloaded. Once the machine is standing, the backbox is raised or installed according to the model design, and any manufacturer-supplied locking hardware is secured.
Playfield glass and trim are handled carefully because they can be damaged by twisting or impact during setup. Leveling feet are adjusted only after the full cabinet is in its final position. A machine with bent leg brackets, damaged cabinet mounting points or broken glass may require parts or repair before assembly can be completed safely.
Included Wiring and Game-Launch Check
Modern pinball machines may use a few manufacturer connectors between the main cabinet and backbox. Those harnesses are attached only as the instructions specify, with care not to pinch wires when the backbox is secured. After assembly, a basic power-on check can confirm that the machine starts and the display responds.
That check is not an electronics diagnosis. Faulty boards, solenoids, lamps, switches, speakers or score displays belong to pinball repair or manufacturer support. The assembly service also does not modify game software, install upgrades or troubleshoot gameplay faults that exist after the cabinet is mechanically complete.
Assembly vs Pinball Repair
The line between setup and repair matters with used or stored machines. Assembly covers the legs, backbox, glass, normal connectors and basic leveling of a machine that is otherwise expected to function. If the playfield mechanisms are worn, a flipper is weak, switches fail, the display is damaged or the machine reports errors, those conditions need a technician who works on pinball electronics and mechanisms.
