Confirm Room Length and Delivery Path
Shuffleboard tables are long pieces of game furniture, and the finished table often has far less maneuverability than the boxed components. Before assembly, confirm the overall length, width and recommended playing clearance at both ends. Hallways, stair turns and door openings should be considered before the cabinet and playfield are joined together.
The safest plan is usually to assemble the table in the room where it will remain. If an existing assembled table needs to be moved, transported or taken between floors, that is a separate relocation task and should not be assumed under standard new-product assembly.
Cabinet, Legs and Playfield Assembly
The supporting cabinet or frame needs to stay straight because the long playing surface magnifies small alignment errors. Legs, cross supports and cabinets are installed in sequence and tightened only after the base has been squared. The playfield is then positioned according to the manufacturer’s design, with care taken around heavy or finished components.
Some tables include climate adjusters, scoring units or storage pieces that require additional setup. We assemble the supplied system but do not refinish a damaged playfield, repair warped components or fabricate replacement parts for a used table.
Leveling a Long Playing Surface
Shuffleboard depends on consistent surface geometry. Once the table is in its final position, the frame is stabilized and the playing surface is checked along its length and width. Adjustable feet are used where the product provides them. Some tables use model-specific surface adjustments that should be set according to the manufacturer rather than improvised.
Leveling cannot correct a warped board or damaged cabinet, so condition problems should be treated as repair issues. The final check confirms that pucks can travel on a stable, correctly assembled table without the cabinet rocking under normal contact.
Final Position Before Calibration
The table should be fully positioned before any final leveling or manufacturer-specified calibration is completed. Moving it afterward can change how the long cabinet sits on the floor. Leave enough space at the scoring ends for players and avoid locations where a door or furniture piece interferes with the shot path.
