Camera placement should begin with the area that needs to be seen: an entry, driveway, side yard or interior room. Height, angle and nearby walls can affect how much of that area appears in the frame.
Before mounting, identify the camera model and whether it is battery powered, plug-in, low-voltage or part of a larger system. A useful location also needs practical access for charging, maintenance or cable routing.

Wireless cameras still need reliable network coverage, while wired systems may depend on power or data cabling. Existing conditions determine whether the project can remain a device-level installation.
Basic app or recorder setup can be completed where it is part of the supplied system. New permanent wiring, structured network installation and electrical circuit work may require a different qualified scope.
