Cover Type, Lift System and Tub Geometry
Hot-tub covers can be simple folding lids or systems paired with mechanical lift arms. The tub shape, cabinet height and space around the spa affect how the cover can open.
Before installation, confirm the cover and lift model are compatible with the tub. A lift that fits the cover but cannot clear a nearby wall or railing will not function well in the final location.
Mounting Brackets and Clearance
Many lift systems attach to the spa cabinet or a manufacturer-approved support location. The bracket position needs enough room for the cover to fold and move without hitting steps, fencing or the surrounding deck.
If the cabinet is damaged or the product requires structural mounting beyond the intended spa enclosure, that issue should be addressed before the lift is installed.
