Inspect Posts, Roof and Connections
A gazebo can deteriorate at the roof, posts, railings, connectors or finish, and those failures do not all require the same repair.
We look for movement, rot, corrosion, loose hardware and water entry before deciding what should be replaced. A cosmetic problem should not be treated as structural, and structural movement should not be hidden under new trim or paint.
Weather Damage vs Loose Components
Storm exposure can loosen roof panels, damage shingles or pull hardware at connections. Other issues develop gradually as wood or fasteners weather.
Localized components may be repairable when the rest of the structure remains stable. Widespread deterioration can make a larger rebuild or replacement more appropriate than repeated patching.
Repair or Replace the Structure?
The repair decision depends on how much of the gazebo can be preserved reliably. One damaged roof panel is different from several failing posts and a moving base.
